DODGEBALL 2011
On Saturday, April 16, 2011 the Izard County Hometown Health Coalition and the TAG (Teens Achieving Goals) team sponsored a dodge ball tournament. The proceeds will be used to create scholarships for each of the Izard County Schools. The first and second place winning teams were awarded trophies. There were two age categories: Grade 8 and under and Grade 9 and over. The winning teams in the Grade 8 and under category were 1st place STATE FARM and 2nd place IZARD COUNTY ABSTRACT. In the Grade 9 and over category 1st place went to COOPER FAMILY CLOTHING and 2nd place went to AVERAGE JOES. The Izard County Hometown Health Coalition and the TAG team would like to thank all of the local merchants who helped sponsor teams, all of the participants, and a special thank you to Matt Churchwell for his help organizing this event.

ICC Schools held their annual CARE SUMMIT on March 18, 2011. All 5th and 6th graders, along with the CHASE members were lucky enough to hear from Trisha Arnold and Audra Fowler about the dangers of smokeless tobacco.
